June 14, 2013 is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, and to help increase awareness, the National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC) is distributing new elder abuse prevention resources that can be found on its website at http://www.ncpc.org/crimesagainstseniors . The first step to combating elder abuse is awareness of the issue.
