Trick or Treat Safety Tips

Simon Property Group has joined with the National Crime Prevention Council to keep families safe this Halloween by holding trick-or-treating events at their retail properties nationwide and by providing families with tips and games on how to have a safe and fun Halloween.

Halloween is an evening of fun, costumes, and candy. To make sure this spooky night is a safe one, Simon will host Halloween celebrations this October. McGruff the Crime DogĀ® may be on hand at participating properties to share tokens and safety information with trick-or-treaters and mall visitors. Malls are a safe indoor alternative for trick-or-treaters. Here are some safety rules that parents and children should follow while at the mall or in their neighborhood. NCPC and Simon have created a list of safety tips for parents and safety activities (quiz and maze) for children to make this Halloween safe and fun.

Simon Property Group, Inc., is the largest public retail real estate owner in the United States. Simon offers more than just shopping at its retail locations; it provides shoppers with an experience. It engages shoppers in programs that help enrich themselves and their families through programs like Simon Kidgits Club and Simon dTour. Now Simon and NCPC are working together to help keep you and your family safe with events and safety information throughout the year. Stay tuned for more tips this holiday season.
