Raising public awareness of mortgage fraud is the first step in effectively assisting victims of mortgage fraud and helping homeowners make smart decisions. In this section, you’ll find multimedia resources—from printables to public service announcements (PSAs) to online videos—to raise awareness of mortgage fraud and the warning signs of potential fraud schemes.
Tips for Using these Resources
If you:
- are a concerned community member—consider asking local radio stations to air one of the 30- or 60-second PSAs
- are a victim service provider—keep a stack of palm cards in your office for victims to take with them and share with family and friends
- feel you might be at risk for mortgage fraud—read “Beware of Mortgage Fraud” flier and/or watch one of the online news videos to learn about the red flags
