The McGruff Network is a group of law enforcement officers and community leaders who use McGruff and his messages to promote self-protection and crime prevention to children, teens, and adults. McGruff Network members are involved in crime prevention at all levels - they work as local leaders, law enforcement officers, and state and regional crime prevention representatives.
The McGruff Network connects these people to make it easier for them to do their jobs and get the word out about crime prevention. It brings together people working in crime prevention at all levels and keeps them informed on the latest news, tools, and resources available to help them make their communities safer. McGruff Network members live in communities across the country, and membership is constantly growing.
If you join the McGruff Network, you’ll receive the following services:
- Monthly email alerts to new resources from the National Crime Prevention Council and others in the field and news on current crime trends and prevention strategies
- Discounts on NCPC materials including comic-activity books and other publications
- Training resources to enable individuals at local agencies to learn how to most effectively incorporate McGruff into crime prevention programs
- Images of McGruff that can be used in promotional materials for relevant crime prevention events and programs
- Opportunities to share your community or program successes and concerns with other crime prevention practitioners and to learn from colleagues’ experiences
