Town of Menasha National Night Out   

The Town of Menasha will hold its eighth annual National Night Out event at the municipal complex on Monday, August 1, 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. The event is designed to promote awareness of crime prevention measures by increasing awareness of crime and drug prevention; generating support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs; strengthening neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and sending a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. Along with the traditional display of outdoor lights and front porch vigils, there will be  many activities for adults and children, including safety promotion displays, police and fire department activities and demonstrations, free bike helmets, and child identification kits (while they last). The Parks and Recreation Department will provide activities and games for kids. Brats, hot dogs, sweet corn, bottled water, and soda will be for sale.This event will be open to all ages. The event will emphasize the community's stance against crime, drugs, and violence and send a message to criminals that the town will not tolerate crime against its residents.
