City of Brownsville Safe Neighborhoods Project   

The Brownsville Police Department will conduct Safe Neighborhoods Project events during Crime Prevention Month in cooperation with city Neighborhood Watch groups. The department will also participate in a county-wide event with games, safety demonstrations, and safety literature.

Crime Prevention Festival    

A crime prevention festival will celebrate community safety. The festival will feature vendors, politicans, Neighborhood Watch captains, directors, Police Department personnel, and Fire Department personnel. Pastors and priests will also attend this community event. Fingerprinting will be available for children, whose pictures will be taken. The pictures will be given to their parents. McGruff the Crime Dog will attend.
