Greenwood County Celebrates Safe Communites

Greenwood County will kick off its Celebrate Safe Communities events with National Night Out on Tuesday, October 4. Thirty to forty individual neighborhood events will take place that evening. On Monday, October 10, neighborhood leaders will gather for an informative session on drugs, alcohol, and crime prevention strategies. On Tuesday, October 11, Healthy Greenwood Neighborhoods, Inc. will partner with local fire departments to celebrate National Fire Prevention Week.

Crime Prevention Picnic

A community picnic will allow neighbors to interact and discuss ways to prevent crime in the area. The events will include acitvities to educate children on crime prevention and safety.
