Public Safety Day and City Day at the New Hope Market and City Hall

This event will take place at the city hall complex and across the street at the farmers' market. Police and fire vehicles will be on display, and there will be safety demonstrations, K-9 demonstrations, and tours of the police department. This event. which is aimed at all ages, is intended to place a focus on safety and crime prevention resources as well as provide information about city programs. The event will also serve to kick off National Night Out: New Hope's Night to Unite on Tuesday, August 2. At the National Night Out observation, neighbors will have an opportunity to meet and talk with other neighbors as well as with police, fire, and public works personnel and city officials. The goal is to develop neighborhood unity.

Golden Valley Night To Unite 2011   

Neighborhoods throughout the city will host block parties to bring neighbors together and reinforce community-police partnerships.

National Night Out   

Afton View And Shamrock Court Apartments are hosting a neighborhood-wide National Night Out event on July 29, 4:00 p.m. -  7:00 pm, There will be games, prizes, and a visit from McGruff the Crime Dog is expected.

Kids' Safety Fair   

There will be a Kids' Safety Fair with local first responders, K-9 unit, the mounted patrol, and representatives from local hospitals, the sheriff's department, local power utilities, Smokey the Bear, and McGruff. Sparky's 60th birthday will be celebrated. In addition, the Home Depot Kids' Workshop will feature games. The events will take place on Saturday, October 1 and Saturday, October 8.
