I Give Myself Away Stage Play

I Give Myself Away" Stage play will be presented on November 17and 18 2012 at the historic Earl Smith Stand Theatre in Marietta, GA. The purpose of this initiative is to help bring awareness to teen and young adult violence and stop it by making a positive difference in the community where many teens and young adults attend school, work, and play. In this production, we follow five teens as they struggle to find their place, learn through the process and discover their uniqueness as they learn that their gifts are gifts to others. Additionally, just as those before them gave themselves away so they could discover their destiny, they learn to give themselves away for others ..." NOTE: My son was murdered attempting to stop two young ladies from fighting while away at college in December 2010. In an effort to turn this tragedy into triumph, IGMA, Inc., will provide access to and participation in a cultural experience for low- and moderate-income individuals and families, thereby making available to program stakeholders an artistic opportunity and venue that reflects the community's diversity and need for reduced violence.

OST Community Safety Day

The OST Neighborhood Watch Committee seeks to bring the OST Community together to foster and build relationships, strengthen our community image and promote awareness on ways to protect and secure our homes and the safety of our families. It is our hope that together we can build a safer community by working together with local Fire, Police, County government, Businesses and our Homeowners.
On October 6, 2012 The OST Neighborhood Watch Committee will host its very first Community Safety Day. This event will provide information and live demonstrations targeting the four themes for safety as identified by the National Crime Prevention Council:
◊ Community Engagement
◊ Neighborhood and Home Safety
◊ Personal Safety
◊ Cyber Safety
Recently, we added a health portion to our safety day and have partnered with Rockdale Hospital to assist in our efforts. We have an awesome day planned with the local Fire & Police Departments, safety demonstrations, free food & entertainment for the entire family! This is a free event open to all OST residents.
