National Night Out

The 29th Annual National Night Out is scheduled for Tuesday, August 7, 2012. National
Night Out promotes Neighborhood Watch, police-community partnerships, neighborhood unity
and the building of a safer, more caring community.
Thousands of people across the nation participate in this once a year event. Those involved
included citizens, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood
organizations and local officials. Neighborhood Watch groups and their communities are
encouraged to host a “going away” party for crime and drugs.
National Night out has proven to be an effective, inexpensive and enjoyable program to promote
neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships in our fight for a safer nation. This year
the Fontana Police Department will have a community party at Jessie Turner Community
Center 15556 Summit Ave. in Fontana from 6:00pm to 8:30pm, set up from 5:00-5:30pm.
