Miami-Dade Police Hammock District will be bring the community together by hosting an event with a partnership with Target Stores in the Kendall area on October 28, 2010. McGruff the Crime dog will be distributing safety information. The Miami-Dade Police will be providing their simulated Helicopter, the Crime Prevention Bus and Citizens' Crime Watch of Miami-Dade will be offering Celebrate Safe Communities flashlights, including crime prevention materials on the prevention of Burglaries, ID Theft and other pertinent information. A Halloween costume contest will be held for the children and teach kids about safety. The Miami-Dade Hammock Explorers will be participating with the giveaways and assisting officers with this event. The Target Store located at: 15005 SW 88 Street, Miami, Fl 33196 will be furnishing and assisting during the hours of 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Truly making them an outstanding partner in Celebrating Safe Communities.
