Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods (GAIN): Gilbert, AZ
All neighborhood leaders are being encouraged to host GAIN events (Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods) to promote crime prevention in Gilbert. GAIN's purpose is to heighten crime awareness, generate support and participation in local anti-crime efforts, and build community relations. A good neighbor is one of the most effective crime prevention tools ever invented. GAIN is a joint effort among a diverse group of government- and community-driven organizations throughout Arizona. Although crime prevention events are encouraged any time in October, the Gilbert Police Department has declared October 15, 2011 the official GAIN day in Gilbert. On that date, a representative from the Gilbert Police Department will visit registered GAIN events throughout the community.
