Cops N Kids Book Give-A-Way

10th anniversary of the annual Cops N Kids Book Give-A-Way. Each year about 3,000 youngsters pick up FREE books and have them autographed, by law enforcement, Fire, FBI and ATF staff. Santa and others help make this a memorable event. Volunteers assist the kids wrapping books they are giving as presents toothers.

Annual giveaway of childrens' books, autographing of books by law enforcement officers, Safe ID registration, free gift-wrapping, many crime prevention partners at event promoting police/community interaction and reading. Racine Neighborhood Watch, Inc. will be present at this collaborative community event and we are requesting the materials to distribute there.

For the quick recovery of missing persons, SafeAssured-ID provides individual pertinent, life threatening data, photo ID, 14 second video showing walk, gate and mannerism with voice print and ten digit electronic fingerprints. All data is encoded on a mini cd, The information is encrypted an other than making missing posters can only be accessed by law enforcement. The CD information is also news media ready and AMBER Alert ready. The paper work is shredded by the person before they leave the station and no data base is kept. FREE Community Emergency Response Team training

Instructors teach you Emergency Preparedness, Fire Safety, Triage, Light Search and Rescue Operations, CERT Organization, Disaster Psychology, Course Review and Disaster Simulation. Red Cross, Salvation Army, Emergency Management, Volunteer Center and Health related organizations will provide 4 hours of great information in a fun atmosphere. What should go into a disaster kit, how much would the items in a kits cost, Should I go or should I stay when it comes to evacuating or sheltering? SafeAssured-ID's will be FREE for Racine County Seniors through a grant from Racine County TRIAD, Racine Community Foundation and Marjorie L. Christiansen Foundations.
