Neighborhood Watch Annual Event

We have recently registered our neighborhood for "Neighborhood Watch" with Scottsdale Police Department in Arizona.
We have implemented many initiatives in the last 6 months to improve our security. We will hold our annual event in October in combination with Halloween.

Anthem Neighborhood Watch GAIN Event

G.A.I.N. is Getting AZ Involved in Neighborhoods, an alternative to National Night Out but in a cooler month of October. This year, with the help of our law enforcers MCSO, Phoenix Police, Anthem Community Council we will celebrate national crime prevention month on October 20.

Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods (GAIN): Scottsdale, AZ

GAIN or Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods is an annual event designed to unite neighbors and communities to help create safer neighborhoods. Formerly celebrated as National Night Out, the GAIN Night Event will encourage residents to promote safety, neighborhood communication, and celebrate the successes of crime prevention through community involvement. Gilbert Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods

To generate increased participation in neighborhood block watch programs and other crime prevention activities in neighborhoods, local law enforcement agencies and Target are joining forces to sponsor G.A.I.N. – Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods.

G.A.I.N. is designed to:

• Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness;

• Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs;

• Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and

• Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

The G.A.I.N. program, sponsored by Target, is held throughout the state during the month of October, which is also National Crime Prevention Month. Although citizens are encouraged to host an event anytime during the month of October, the Gilbert Police Department has declared October 20 as the official G.A.I.N. day. On this day, the Police Department will attempt to travel to several registered G.A.I.N. events.
