Date/Time: Oct. 18, 2014, 6:00 PM

Organization: Gilbert Police Department

Description: G.A.I.N., or Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods, is an annual event designed to unite neighbors and communities to help create safer neighborhoods. To encourage neighborhoods to register and host their own crime awareness event, build community relationships and strengthen support for public safety, the Gilbert Police Department, in partnership with our sponsors Target and SRP, will provide free party packs. The party packs will be stuffed with a variety of prevention materials, drinks, snacks, home security items and other goodies to celebrate the safe communities’ initiative. Although citizens are encouraged to host an event any time during the month of October, the Gilbert Police Department has declared October 18 as the official G.A.I.N. day. On this day, the Police Department will be traveling to several registered G.A.I.N. events. To register your October neighborhood party, visit the following website by September 22: http://www.gilbertaz.gov/departments/police/crime-prevention
