Sedalia Elementary School and Stony Creek's Sheriff’s Department are partnering to launch an Anti-Bullying Campaign, Take a Stand; Lend a Hand; Stop Bullying Now.”  Our campaign will Kick-off on September 27th and run through October 1st.

It is our goal is to roll right into October with the National Crime Prevention’s “Celebrate Safe Communities” Celebration.  We will maintain momentum for the program by sharing weekly crime prevention programs.   The Celebration will also include a guest appearance from McGruff the Crime Dog via teleconference, Mcgruff memorabilia and other crime prevention activities.   All activities will be supervised by school staff.

Our intention is to promote and celebrate a safe school and community environment.  During the celebrations Sedalia will host trainings and activities geared at educating our students, their parents and the community on how to respect one another and on healthy ways to resolve conflicts.  Please come out and support us! We’ve partnered with McGruff the Crime Dog, the National Crime preventions Councils and The Safe Communities for a month-long celebration that is sure to be both fun and educational.  The Celebration will conclude with safe and fun alternatives and “tips to trick-or treating”.   Although Our Anti-Bullying kick –off and Crime Prevention  celebration will continue only through the month of October, the Anti- Bullying and Safe Community program will remain a focus of Sedalia Elementary School throughout the entire school year.  Be sure to check back with us for more community updates!
