The City of Plano Celebrates Crime Prevention Month in October yearly.  We have several events that are advertised at events throughout September.  We have events all over the city during the Month starting with a Crime Stompers Dance at the Senior Community Center with a band called the  Kings of Swing. Everyone has a great time and Plano Police Officers dance the day away with local seniors. We have a safety education booth at the International Festival at Haggard Park that is attended by approximately 12,000 members of the community.  A safety fair is held at the local shopping mall to reach out to every age group where we will give out safety information and fingerprint children and more!  This is just a sample of the safety fairs we will have  but the biggest is participating in Texas NNO with over 80 community block parties!  Plano is dedicated to Crime Prevention and is very proactive in the community.
