Forsyth County Celebrates Safe Communities
The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office and Home Depot will host the 3rd Annual Celebrating Safe Communities Community Safety Fair Saturday, October 2nd, 9:00 am--Noon.

The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office has partnered with Home Depot to host the First Annual Celebrating Safe Communities Community Safety Fair on Saturday, October 2nd, from 9:00 am until 12 noon.
At 9:00 am, children ages 5-12 are invited to participate in Home Depot's Kids' Workshop and build a "fire safety boat." Following the workshop, vehicles and equipment from the Sheriff's Office, Fire Department, Emergency Medical Services, Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Georgia State Patrol, and Emory Flight will be on display in Home Depot's parking lot.
Representatives from the Foryth County Sheriff's Office, Forsyth County's Citizens' Corps Council, Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), Emergency Management Agency, Fire Department, Seniors And Lawmen Together (SALT), Domestic Violence Task Force, Keep Forsyth County Beautiful, and other agencies will be on hand to discuss their various community safety programs and how residents can get involved. Neighborhood Watch liaisons will be on hand to discuss the benefits of implementing the program in neighborhoods and Citizens' Law Enforcement Academy (CLEA) graduates will be recruiting for the next class.
All residents of Forsyth County will be invited via the local newspaper, radio, Sheriff's Office newsletters, website, and email distribution lists. Flyers have been designed and will be posted throughout the county and emailed to all county employees, Neighborhood Watch neighborhoods, Business Watch businesses, Construction Watch builders, CERT, SALT, and CLEA members.
