The Lehigh German Shepherd Club's PetFest 2010 and the Alburtis Area Community Center Fall Festival will take place on Saturday October 9, 2010 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Alburtis Area Community Center at 220 West Second Street in Alburtis, PA 18011. The event features various vendors, animal rescue groups, pet services, bake sale, basket raffle, canine demonstrations, food, crafts, the Alburtis Area Community Center Fall Festival's Famous Cow Pie Bingo, therapy dogs, canine good citizen testing, pet costume contest, music by DJ "Hammer", displays and demonstrations by local fire, police, and EMS departments, and games for the kids.
For the event, the Alburtis Police Department (participating for the 3rd year in a row), has promoted safety in various subjects, had a display of equipment, a vehicle display, completed Child ID Kits, and has taken pictures of dogs in the police vehicle.
